CITRINE "the Merchant's Stone"

Citrine, for its properties of increase in the cashbox, sparkling yellow Citrine not only assists in acquiring wealth, but helps in maintaining it. It is a stone of abundance and manifestation, attracting wealth and prosperity, success and all things good. It also encourages generosity and sharing good fortune. Citrine assists in all fast money ventures, and is especially helpful in financial speculation and for commercial success.

Citrine is a member of the Quartz family and is a silicon dioxide mineral. Its color is clear/translucent with hues ranging from pale yellow to amber and orange. Citrine is one of the essential stones of the sacral chakra, making it a staple for creativity and manifestation. This resonance with the sacral chakra allows one to awaken their abilities of creative imagination. Citrine’s energy flows into the body directly from the sacral chakra and spreads into the root and solar plexus, allowing all three to radiate with solar light. The emphasis on imagination with Citrine is important because this is the first step to creation and manifestation. One must imagine something before it can even become a part of your thoughts, which can then become a part of one’s actions.

Citrine honors Demeter, the Greek Goddess of the Harvest. She brings an end to the barren wintertime, filling the fields with life-giving grain. Citrine honors Sekhmet, the Egyptian Goddess of War. She is the most powerful goddess of Lower Egypt, and is usually depicted with the head of a lion and the body of a beautiful woman.
